Welcomes and Ceremonies

OOC: If anyone has a cat who needs a ceremony or just wants their cat to be welcomed to EclipseClan, OOC it!


IC: Diamondstar jumped onto the HighRock and yowled. "Every cat who is old enough to catch his own prey, gather here below the HighRock!"

Autumnpaw kept her chanting, "I'm going to be a warrior! I'm going to be a warrior! I'm going to be a warrior!"

Diamondstar couldn't help but smile in amusement at her apprentice's excited behavior. She had been there before, and knew what it was like. She waited patiently for all the cats to assemble.

Poppykit stuck close to Splattertop, holding on to his leg, not letting go... since she was still afraid of everything "W-who was that?" she mewed to Splattertop

Splattertop winced at how strong Poppykit's grip was, the circulation in his paw was beginning to slow down.
" That's our leader, Diamondstar." He began, " She's going to give you full approval to joining our clan, under the circumstances that you answer some questions correctly," He slightly shook his paw to loosen the kit's grip. " I'll guide you up the highrock if you like."

Diamondstar watched her apprentice absently as she gaze around the camp from HighRock. Then her eye fell on Poppykit, who looked quite scared. She smiled gently down at the young kit, hoping to make her at home soon.

Poppykit felt Splattertop try to loosen her grip "I'm huuungryyy" she moaned, shyly ducking her head after seeing Diamondstar smile at her

" You can eat again soon enough, not now though." Splattertop answered, understanding that Poppykit's stomach was already adapting to the clan habit, Good, she's used to our nutrition, that's step one to getting used to the clans.

" Come on Poppykit, stand tall." He mewed nonchalantly, Also raising his chin high as he spoke.

Poppykit stood a little taller on Splattertop's command, still ducking her head

Diamondstar waited for silence before speaking, her head held regally. "As you all probably know, she began, "we have two very important cats to recognize. First, my apprentice is ready to receive her ceremony."

Splattertop raised his head to the tone of Diamondstar, unraveling his tail from Poppykit's side. " Okay, be ready," He whispered, his eyes locked on the leader, After the meeting... Then I'll tell her.

Poppykit just sat where she was, hoping she wouldn't have to go up and do anything

Smokeshadow was seated at the back, staring on at the excitement that seemed to fill the clan. He waited for Diamondstar to continue.

OOC: Insert Rainy!

Autumnpaw stopped her chanting, but her little chest puffed out with pride as she heard Diamondstar mention about her.

"Autumnpaw! Come forward, please!" Diamondstar called out. She waited, a smile on her face as her apprentice stepped forward. LIfting her head high, Diamondstar recited, "Today is a proud day for EclipseClan! I, Diamondstar, leader of EclipseClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this young apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code and I commend her to you as a warrior in their turn.

Turning to her apprentice, the leader asked, "Autumnpaw, do you promise to uphold the Warrior Code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"Yes!" Came the excited yet firm voice of her apprentice.

"Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Autumnpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Autumnspirit, and I am proud to name you as a warrior of EclipseClan!"

" Autumnspirit! Autumnspirit!" Splattertop cheered at least three times. His head turned down to Poppykit, who seemed too caught up in such an interlude to even speak. We'll have to dose her with some more poppy seeds.. I see how she got her name.
Splattertop nodded softly over to Diamondstar, shaking his tail just slightly.

Poppykit looked up to Splattertop "W-what happens now?" she asked

Splattertop's tail laced away from Poppykit, only leaving his leg partly stressed from her grip. " Now, you'll be called to walk up there. It's quick and easy, so it's no need to be frightened." He mewed laxly, waiting for Diamondstar to call the rogue's name.

"Okay..." Poppykit mewed

IC: Diamondstar waited for the cats to become quiet before continuing. "And now I'll like to intruduce a new member of EclipseClan. Poppykit, please step forward!"

OOC: No problem, I should have let you take your time more..

OC: Splattertop nudged the kit with his tail softly, " This'll be shorter then you may expect." He purred.

Poppykit tensed a bit, but still walked quietly up to where Diamondstar is "Y-yes?"

OOC: What's the thing leaders say when inviting a new member? I'm not sure if there is such a thing...

OOC: I would mix up the apprentice ceremony with it, like the 'welcome as a full member of _____' and the ' follow warrior code' as well as ' protect clan at cost of life'. Just don't add the apprentice name.

OOC: Good idea, NK!


IC: Diamondstar smiled warmly at the young kit standing before her. "By the powers of StarClan, I'll like to welcome you, Poppykit, as a full member of EclipseClan. Do you promise the keep the Warrior Code, uphold our Clan's honor, and protect your Clan even at the cost of your life?"

"Y-yes, Diamondstar" Poppykit blinked
