Poppykit comes to EclipseClan

Splattertop walked beside Poppykit, almost as if guarding her. " This is Poppykit." He began, raising his head higher to Diamondstar as he spoke, ", and by scrap, She was intelligent enough to save her own pelt by asking for aid. And to my role, I intend to help the weak."
He gave a cruel glance over to Smokeshadow in return for his hostility to their visitor.

With that satisfying reply, Diamondstar nodded curtly. "Welcome to EclipseClan, Poppykit." She hoped her tone was soft and inviting. "I am Diamondstar. I'm sure Splattertop will take good care of you."

"H-hello..." Poppykit whimpered, eating some of te poppy seeds

Diamondstar gave a curt nod at Splattertop and Smokeshadow, dismissing the little gathering, and retired to her den for a quick nap.

Smokeshadow grumbled something as he stalked off. Just what this clan needs. Another ball of fur who can‘t even hunt and another mouth to feed!

IC: Echowhisper happened to saunter by, and stopped to inspect at the new arrival. "A stray, huh? Hello, and welcome to the Clan, little one!" She mewed warmly, then her tone became bright, "Brightmist is having her kits soon, so you'll have somebody to play with. What's your name?"

OOC: Rainy... The bold letters makes it feel like your character doesn't have an inside voice!

IC: Splattertop nodded softly to Poppykit, in other words saying, It's okay.

Poppykit looked up at Splattertop, then backed up to get a little closer to him... where she felt safe "I-i'm Poppykit" she mewed, weaklly

IC: Echowhisper dipped her head. "Nice to meet you, Poppykit." She mewed in a friendly way.

Smokeshadow sighed once he had left. Sure! Lets make it a deputy! This kit could turn against our clan and then what?

Echowhisper glanced at Smokeshadow, who left. Is her jealous of the attention Poppykit is getting? She thought, but immediately erased that thought. I don't believe he would.

Poppykit ducked her head as Smokeshadow let out a sigh, not knowing why, she ducked a bit further towards Splattertop

Echowhisper glanced over at Poppykit. "Don't worry, Poppykit," she mewed, "Splattertop will take a very good care of you." A quick smile and she took her leave.

Smokeshadow was now a bit away from the group, Sitting alone's definately what I want at this moment. He lay down in the shade and closed his eyes, Memory flashes flew up in his mind, Fire... just fire. the heat on his fur as he raced away with his older brother... the two became separated. Smokeshadow's eyes flew open and his hackles were rising in fear, but realising it wasn't happening he relaxed again. I hope Tiger's safe...

"Poppykit looked up at Splattertop "W-what will are we g-gonna do now?"

Splattertop glanced assuringly at Poppykit. " Now, we're possibly going to call out a clan meeting. Have other's know your not a prisoner but a member like us all." He purred softly, stroking her small back with his tail to let her bristling fur lie flat.

"O-okay..." Poppykit relaxed a bit "I-I remeber my mother telling me about c-clan life" she started "she told me about the apprentices... c-can I be your apprentice S-Splattertop?" she asked

Splattertop's eye's grew particularly wide with shock and amusement. " That means you'd rather learn about herbs and treating others of the clan... Instead of training to defend the clan?" He'd never seen or experienced the thought of being a mentor...

"I wanna l-learn about herbs" Poppykit replied

Splattertop nodded, a small smile streaking across his face, I'd be lucky to have an apprentice like this, even though she's a but jittery. he thought, and then turned to Diamondstar, " Follow me," he purred, moving over her after he noticed she locked gazes with him.
