clan meeting

Brokenstar yowled out, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here for a clan meeting!"
Shadowfang was standing beside the clan leader, his head held high for the news.

Nightkit limped out of the medicine cats den and sat at the front of the crowd.

Wolfspirit padded out from the warriors den and sat next to Nightkit "What's this about" he grumbled "Can't a cat get some sleep?"

"i think it is about me becoming medicine cat apprentice..."Nightkit mewed.

"Oh.. well... Congragulations" Wolfspirit blinked

A jet-black shadow drew near the NightClan camp grounds. It was a she-cat loner, who were quite used to the ways of the Clan cats. In fact, she had been one herself, but had left due to her pride.

Brokenstar continued once the clan was gathered, "Shadowfang has informed me that he is ready to take on an apprentice of his own." He turned to Shadowfang, willing him to speak.
Shadowfang looked to the clan, "I have chosen a kit whom I see is worthy to become a medicine cat apprentice. I wish to choose Nightkit as my apprentice." He paused, waiting for the clan's cheers.

Wolfspirit only just nodded

Sirenpaw, the jet-black loner who had been prowling the camp grounds, also listened intently to what the leader was saying.

Shadowfang raised his head to yowl triuphantly, “Next half moon, Nightkit will travel with me to the moonstone. She will learn the ways to be a medicine cat. Nightkit is now to be called Nightpaw.“
His eyes scanned the clearing until they rested on Nightkit. I am proud to have picked you to be my apprentice... Nightpaw.

Sirenpaw felt suddenly sad. Her old mentor had been a good one, but a ruthless one who didn't know about compassion or rest.

Debrispaw raised her head, grinning to Nightpaw, " Nightpaw! Nightpaw!" she cheered, but something in her voice gave off an almost mocking tone.

Nightpaw raised her head proudly and looked at her new mentor..I have to tell Icekit that i still love her but we have to be friendsNightpaw thought sadly.

Wolfspirit sat next to his sister, Debrispaw, "Hello" he mewed "how has your training been going?"

Nightpaw limped into a shadowed spot so no cat would see her cry.She started to cry and think to herself"this wouldn't have happened if i didn't do the dare...."Nightpaw thought as she cried.

Debrispaw paused for a moment at Wolfspirit's reply, as her gaze was still locked onto the quick retreat of Nightpaw. " Oh, it's been going well. Apart from the fact that I already know all the techniques they teach us lately," She sighed, cocking her head to the side. " I can't believe that Brokenstar hasn't said a word to me about becoming a warrior,"
She flicked her tail in anger, and flashed a quick glance at Icekit, who was near the nursery. I don't want to be stuck up with another rogue, she thought.

"Then maybe you have to work harder" Wolfspirit replied

IC: Debrispaw gave her brother an awe struck look. " You don't think I have?" She spat, unconscious of how barbaric she was acting.

"I'm not the one that has been keeping progress of your training" Wolfspirit mewed back, unfazed by how barbaric his sister was acting

Debrispaw lowered her head, and let her bristled fur fall flat against her back, swearing under her breath.
" True, i'll talk to him sometime," She mewed softly, partly forgiving Wolfspirit for her reaction.

Wolfspirit nodded

Sirenpaw held her breath as a cat walked over to her hiding spot. Uh-oh.

Sirenpaw was not the only one hiding in the shadows. Another tom, much older was creeping along, his striped fur not much of a camoflague but he was passing through, with higher intentions on reaching Thunderclan first.

The ebony she-cat tensed, her mucles tight like bound springs waiting to be released.

Tiger paused, he couldn‘t detect the young cat, he excused the scent to br that of the clan cats and moved on, undetected.
