The clearing (Open)

Smokeshadow had picked up a nice sparrow from the fresh kill pile. He found a nice warm spot and sat down to eat.

Splattertop, easing his way outside of the medicine cat's den, began to swear under his breath. Padding over to his small puddle, he attempted to clean off the remnants of many different herbs.
When he was in his den, rearranging as usual, the whole stack out of nowhere, didn't stay steady, and tumbled onto him. Luckily for him, it was mostly Raspberries, Burdock root, and a bit of honey as well as horsetail ( forgot the name ) hence why his coat was a yellowish, red color.
Attempting not to show his cockup to badly. He took the back route from the dirtplace, and padded in the direction of the river.

Diamondstar, basking in the warm sunshine, felt content and happy that her Clan is doing well. A faint smile flickered across her face as she watched Autumnpaw and Prairiekit fight in a mock battle.


Meanwhile, Echowhisper was helping Brightmist, who was almost always crancky now, so close she was to kitting.

Smokeshadow finished his sparrow, he got to his paws and padded over to Diamondstar.
He then asked, "May I ask when the next patrol is to leave?"

Diamondstar opened her eyes to look at Smokeshadow. "Around sunhigh."



"Watch it, Echowhisper!" Brightmist hissed as the she-cat accidentally jolted her.
Echowhisper sighed. "Sorry." She muttered, surpressing the urge to scream back at the cranky queen.

Smokeshadow nodded, he turned at the sounds of the queen. Hopefully when her litter arrives she wont be as snappy.

Diamondstar pawed at the ground. Just hearing the queen's snappiness really upset her. Can't Brightmist just keep her mouth shut? She fretted.


Echowhisper quickly got the queen what she wanted, and escaped outside the den.

Smokeshadow padded away, unfortunately, it isn't dark outside, so hunting would be difficult, and it was between the leader and deputy as to when a border patrol was to go. Smokeshadow lay down near the sun and decided to start grooming his fur.

Echowhisper, after finally escaping from cranky Brightmist, looked around, and spied Smokeshadow grooming by herself. She padded over softly, and mewed, "Want to share tongues?"


OOC: Smokeshadow is a she-cat, right?

Smokeshadow looked up from his grooming, "Sure." He meowed softly, then he paused, hesitating. He then meowed, "I caught two water voles recently."

Echowhispers nodded. "Ah, I see. Nice hunting for this time of year, yes?"

Smokeshadow dipped his head, "It's very well, yes." He flicked his left ear, "And what about you?"
((i'm starting to feel very awkward with this conversation. XD))

OOC: I know what you mean. XD


IC: Echowhisper, seeing how uncomfortable Smokeshadow was, got up and mewed, “I'll see you later, okay?”

Smokeshadow dipped his head as he got to his paws, "Okay." he replied softly, thoughts still running through his mind.

Echowhisper just shrugged and padded softly away toward the river for a drink.

Smokeshadow sighed, then turned to head towards the warrior den to lay in the sun near the den.

OOC: Kind of boring just us two RPing...


IC: Echowhisper sighed in ecstasy as she dipped her head into a clear water. Feeling refreshed, she lifted her head out of the liquid, head dripping and glistening under the bright sunshine. She shook most of the wetness off her fur, droplets flying. What should I do now? She mused.

((I know...))

Smokeshadow got to his paws, he decided he wanted to go for a walk around the border, he padded out of camp.

OOC: Time for my amusement.

IC: As Smokeshadow trailed out of the camp, Splattertop padded awkwardly in, Some horsetail in his mouth and his fur drenched with water. He was amazed that no one noticed his freezing pelt. " Moral of the story," He mewed out loud, not speaking directly to anyone " Do not harvest a medical herb after cleaning off your paws."
His voice was hoarse, but even over his humiliation, he still let his corny humor take over.
