Silverstar stood by the thorn tunnel. She yowled out the names of the cats she wanted to take with her to the gathering, "Tawnyclaw, Firepaw, Stonepaw, Brackenclaw, Whitestorm, Icepaw, Lionfur and Silverpaw, We are going to the gathering." As soon as Silverstar yowled out the names the cats joined her by the tunnel. Mousetail asked, "Why can't I go? You pick my apprentice but not me.". Silverstar replied, "You were best friends with Snowfang... It is best you remain here to mourn her." Mousetail nodded, her eyes clouding with grief.
